Terms of Service
Effective: 14 September 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern the MineSlate website, Windows application, accounts and Public Connect service. By creating an account, downloading MineSlate or purchasing Public Connect, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. MineSlate Beta
The currently published Windows build is an unsigned beta. Windows may display “Unknown publisher” or a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning, and some devices may block it. Beta software can contain defects, change without notice, or experience interruptions. Do not disable security protections to run MineSlate.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, protect your password, and promptly report unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement or use MineSlate with permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Services
MineSlate Local manages Minecraft servers on your own Windows PC. Public Connect assigns one public MineSlate address to one eligible Local server and relays connections without ordinary home-router port forwarding. Your PC, MineSlate and Minecraft server must remain running and connected for players to join. Public Connect is an open-beta service and may change as it is improved.
5. Subscriptions and payment
MineSlate Local is free. Public Connect costs €1.99 per month for each local server you choose to connect. It is a recurring subscription billed in advance through Stripe and renews automatically each month until cancelled. The price and billing interval are shown again in Stripe Checkout before payment. Your bank or card provider may apply currency-conversion or other charges. Seller identification is available in the Legal Notice.
6. Cancellation and withdrawal
You may cancel Public Connect at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals and access normally continues through the end of the paid billing period. Deleting the app does not itself cancel a subscription. The Refund and Withdrawal Policy explains the 14-day consumer withdrawal right, refunds and how to contact us. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use MineSlate to break the law, attack systems, distribute malware, infringe rights, evade access controls, harass others, or operate content that creates unreasonable risk to the service. You are responsible for your Minecraft server, players, worlds, plugins, backups and compliance with third-party licences.
8. Availability and changes
Reasonable efforts are made to keep Public Connect available, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. Maintenance, network failures, abuse prevention and third-party outages may affect availability. Material reductions to a paid service will be handled consistently with mandatory consumer rights.
9. Intellectual property
MineSlate and its original software, branding and website content are owned by the MineSlate project or used under applicable licences. These Terms grant a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use MineSlate for its intended purpose. Minecraft is a trademark of Microsoft/Mojang. MineSlate is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Microsoft or Mojang.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MineSlate is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost worlds, lost profits or damage caused by third-party plugins, Minecraft software, local hardware, networks or user configuration. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, abuse or a serious breach. Where appropriate, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided. You may stop using the free application at any time and may request account deletion, subject to records that must legally be retained.
12. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections or courts available under the law of your country of residence. Contact support first so an issue can be resolved informally.
13. Contact and changes
Questions may be sent to mineslate.support@gmail.com. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and additional notice where required.
