Common questions

Quick answers.

Do I need to open port 25565 on my router?

Not when you use Public Connect. ServerLume makes the outgoing connection for you, so normal home-router port forwarding is not part of that setup.

Do my friends need ServerLume?

No. They only need Minecraft and the server address you send them.

Where does the Minecraft server run?

On your own Windows PC. ServerLume is the control app you use to manage it.

Why do I need an account?

Your account gives you the same sign-in on the website and in the app, and lets ServerLume know what is available to your account.

My friend cannot join. What should I check?

First make sure the Minecraft server says Online. If you use Public Connect, make sure Public Connect also says Online and copy the address directly from ServerLume.
